MY OWN RESULTS:
Before (left): I was eating out a ton, lazy, and chronically dehydrated. Purely from a calorie perspective, I wasn't eating that much. However, I was eating all of the wrong calories - filling myself with refined and artificial sugar, carbs, and constantly snacking on salty chips. The more sugar I ate, the more I craved it. I couldn't walk past a CVS without going inside and grabbing a bag of sour gummies and diet coke. Not really behavior you'd expect from someone who runs a healthy food Instagram, right? And it's not like I never ate healthy - I ate tons of salads, smoothies, and avocado toast between all the processed foods - but I knew I had the potential to feel so much better. My frequent headaches and weakened immune system were also signs that I needed to get my diet and hydration back on track, stat.
After (right): I'm still a work in progress, but I already feel so much better. Healthy food tastes.so.good. I crave kale and sweet potato instead of sugar, which I think is pretty darn impressive for a former sugar addict. Most surprising of all, I rarely have snack attacks anymore! I used to graze on snacks all day long, but ever since I started feeding my body healthy, nourishing, filling food, I don't really get hungry in between meals anymore. This is HUGE for me because I am the biggest snacker ever (I used to bring a backpack of snacks with me to the movies)! Food is no longer something I reach for when I'm bored, rather I recognize it as a source of fuel for my body.
